Young scientist travel award
Are you a young scientist? Would you like to participate in WCC-3?
The European Meteorological Society invites applications for a Young Scientist Travel Award to support the participation of young scientists at WCC-3. The award includes financial support for travel expenditure of Є 500. For more, please see below.

The EMS invites applications for a Young Scientist Travel Award (YSTA) to support the participation of young scientists at the World Climate Conference WCC-3, 31 August - 4 September 2009, in Geneva, Switzerland.
This award includes financial support for travel expenditures of 500Є.
Eligibility
Young scientists under 35 years of age on the first of January 2009 working and/or studying in a European country are eligible for an award. All countries with an EMS Member Society or included in the WMO RA VI region are considered as European. For an overview of EMS Member Societies please consult the EMS Web Site.
Application procedure
The candidates may apply directly.
Alternatively the following bodies may recommend candidates:
the Programme Committee of the Conference, EMS Member Societies,
and EMS Associate Members.
The following documents are required:
(i) a short curriculum vitae,
(ii) the abstract submitted for poster presentation to the WCC-3,
(iii) a breakdown of contributions from other sources to the expenses,
(iv) a document to determine the age of the candidate, and
(v) a supporting statement (e.g. by an EMS Member Society or an
EMS Associate Member).
Please submit any proposal to the EMS Executive Secretary at ems-sec[at]met.fu-berlin.de.
The deadline for the receipt of proposals is 28 May 2009.
The Awardee will receive a certificate that will be presented during the WCC-3 conference in Geneva.

On Monday being the 25th of May 22, 2009, marks the end of circles, known as Okada drivers by the people of the state. It is with great passion am passing this message, having known that okada transport service will seize to exist in Enugu state. A state where peace and harmony is gradually prevailing, with understanding of situational norms from the citizenry to government agencies. A state where irrationalities flowing a river of poverty among the city. People are engaged with mania jobs to survive; such as commercial motor circling to earn a living: a fatal neglect should be far from them. They have responsibilities to shield. Among these so call local business, stimulates the involvement of university graduate who is unemployed and those still schooling to meet up the pursuance of their career. Come to think of if; motor circle commercial business help in modernizing urgency of a situation where time factor is present. Some times our decisions are not always proportional to balance the both ends of the bracket. But with a little patience and critical examining of the innovation’ it can still be sought either ways. Consequently adding smiles to promote good governance office but in the higher and lower people, in confirmation of governing. Let their voice be heard too and be acted on if we must welcome and promote development in Enugu state

We can not stand the cold heart among the okada riders and its functions, we are pleading to give us a little time to normalize the situation.

It is essential that, The World Health Organization WHO, other local and international organizations, Government, Corporate bodies, Ministries, Philanthropist, etc. to hear the cry of these people. They should also feel the impact of development and sustainability for a better and healthy living. They are our leaders of tomorrow, they are the pride of the land, they the joy of mothers. The need to be cared for. Trios Human Development Foundation is passionately advocating for immediate assistance; prevention is better than cure. These kids are prone to infection but they are happily and unconsciously lettering the environment where they live with their waste. Consequently, polluting the atmosphere to inhibit healthy and conducive environment. The neglect and relegation to this part of the world has resulted to an increase mortality rate and easy access to infections. There are a limit accessibility to medical attention if took ill. They live in abject poverty, let their voice count. What will be the fate of these children when their bringing up is with care and love. If we must stop crime, we must avoid child Labour and neglects; to build a nation with pride, integrity, honesty, prudence. In other word, the global situation will improve: not by chance, but by the active, critical choice of million of individuals to transform their lives and their society to ensure global interdependency and justice and the free expression of human potential and ability. In one voice and fate lets explore the people’s potential and ability by providing for the basic need, like a well structured facility for shelter, a quality education, a food basket, clothing and also to encourage the local producer be enlightened for an increase yield. The life of these ones today is our future tomorrow. Practically, the youth should be empowered to see the essence of agriculture as a good head start towards agriculture revolution in all part of the globe. ACT NOW, ACT FASTER.
